Dheeran Chinnamalai (Tamil:தீரன் சின்னமலை) was a Kongu chieftain who rose up in revolt against the
British East India Company in the
Kongu Nadu, Southern
India.He is held with high regard by the
Gounder community who continue use him as a symbol of Independence for the community. Belonging to the same community I feel honored and proud sketching him.. In fact this portrait was the inspiration that told me "U can do" and took me to where i am now.
